The Coal Bunker

First time eating here today, I popped in as I was delivering around the corner. The Café was very clean and spacious with lots of seating, It was pretty busy in there with a good atmosphere like a café should be! Staff were extremely friendly and well mannered, I ordered a huge breakfast which came extremely fast to say I added lots of extra items. Food was beautiful, not greasy nothing was overcooked or undercooked, The whole plate was bang on. After finishing my breakfast, I had a piece of cake and a cookie to go, Both were extremely tasty! Overall, just a great place to eat and I will be visiting again if I am ever in the area!

Amazing full English good quality ingredients, sosauges were some of the best I have had for a breaky sosauge, egg yolks were deep orange which shows high quality, bacon was high quality and perfectly cooked, black pudding was perfectly cooked and flavour ful witha side of beansl, coffee was on point and reasonablely priced at around £13 including coffee 10/10 for customer service also highly recommend

Fantastic breakfast but not for the faint hearted. All freshly prepared and very tasty. First time here excellent service. This is their bunker breakfast certainly set me up for the day.

I can highly recommend the breakfast and say that it's the best breakfast in town. The teas and coffees are always so tasty, and you get a good mug-full too. The staff are always so kind and interactive, and I love visiting with my family. 5 stars!

This place has become a regular haunt for myself and many others- and there's good reason, it has a warm welcoming atmosphere, is immaculately clean and tidy (the staff are super diligent clearing tables etc) the owner/operator clearly has an eye for interior design as it has that fine balance of contemporary without a cold edge and an excellent use of natural materials around the place- particularly the beautiful tables, on top of all that the food is simple, excellent value and well presented, I have a lactose intolerance myself and I'm very well catered for with a great choice of dairy alternatives and I've also noticed that other diataery requirements such as gluten free foods are also available, the milky coffee and the full English breakfast are just a delight, I've only tackled the "Bunker Breakfast" once as it is epic but also a thing of much beauty 😂 I also have a sweet tooth and the brownies here are to die for! And WHAT a way to go🤣 there are also small independent retail units towards the back of the place selling traditional sweets, another selling puzzle books, and I believe one of the units is for "pop-up" entrapanurs wanting to push their fledgling business ideas, this place really is a "people place" it's also important to mention that when the need arrises you will find the cleanest most beautiful toilets (also accessable) in the area!! There IS a huge carpark to the rear of the premises but access is very narrow, ideal for small cars and motorcycles especially- but a wee bit tight for the larger vehicles, right, that's me, hopefully you find this helpful, The Coal Bunker awaits!

I usually visit in the early morning just after opening - the place is clean, staff are friendly and the food is tasty.

The fabulous breakfast, with toast and milky coffee, as well :) Great service as well.
